This is to inform you that there are big new changes taking place at The Dummy Shoppe. We are always looking for a way to become different from any other maker in the world.
Effective today, we are no longer taking orders. JET is a never ending well of new ideas and she does not get the opportunity to make the new puppets she has in her mind, because she can’t get caught up on orders that are similars of old projects.
NOW THE GOOD NEWS
Instead of taking orders, we are going to be expanding the “Available Now” section of the site. Many people have asked for more of these type of puppets. We live in a culture of “instant gratification” and we are going to try to satisfy that demand.
Currently, you look at our on line catalog and find a puppet that you like. Then you contact us and order a “similar” of that puppet. Depending on the time of year, you then have to wait between 3 and 6 months to get the puppet. Then you may or may not be happy with the way the new puppet looks because we will NOT duplicate a puppet.
Under the new way of doing things you will go to the site and find a puppet that you like. You contact us and we can take care of the business end of the transaction. In a matter of just a few days you will have your hands on your new puppet. Your investment can then be working for you immediately instead of several months later. There is no one else in the world that is doing this with puppets that are not “mass produced”.
We still have a few weeks to modify the web site (www.thedummyshoppe.com) and finish up on the orders that we have committed to and then we will start at a fever pace to get up lots of puppets that you can have very quickly.
If you have an idea for something that you want to see, feel free to contact us and tell us what you would like to see. As soon as we get the opportunity to make something like that, we will notify you and you will be given 48 hours to make a decision, after which we will put that puppet up on “Available Now”
The Newsletter and Blog will continue as always, and we will from time to time put a few pictures on the blog to remind you of some of the new characters that are up on the site.
