We got an email this week from one of our good friends, Dr. Bob Baker giving us the schedule for “America’s Got Talent” beginning this week.
On Tuesday evenings at 8:00 P.M. Central time, the show began this week. Dr. Bob was not sure if he would be on this week or even on at all, but each and every time one of our own in the Vent Community gets on one of these big shows, we all need to be ready to close ranks around them in the voting process.
This is extremely important for all of us. Two of the biggest names in entertainment are Ventriloquists. As we all know in 2007, Terry Fator won AGT and has helped the entire art form come back to front center in the public eye. The more that the public sees ventriloquists, the more bookings are available for each of you. So any time that we all have the opportunity to help propel on of our own up the ladder of success, just remember that it is good for all of us.
About Dr. Baker in particular, not only do we consider him to be a friend, he is also a super Ventriloquist. We have seen him perform a couple of times at Vent Haven ConVENTion in the last couple of years and have enjoyed it greatly.
For those of you who have not had the privilege of seeing him, his first performance at Vent Haven was taped and is on YouTube.. For those of you who were there, enjoy seeing him again.
Anyway, as the luck of the draw would have it, Dr. Bob was not on AGT this week which means that we will all be glued to our sets again next week as the New York auditions will take more than just one night to complete.
Good Luck Dr. Bob – we will all be watching (and voting hopefully.
