All work and no Play. . .

Here is another great example of how a well manipulated puppet can transcend language barriers. Our good friend Edmundo Miller works and plays in Mexico.

He sent us this video of his JET puppet that he uses as the wise and apparent know-it-all “el Padre Matias” when he performs in Mexico. It is also an outstanding example of how using your own imagination can make a difference when is comes to changing out costuming. This is how the puppet looked when he left The Dummy Shoppe.

Take note of the completely different personality a costume change makes when you watch the video.

This video is really good, because even though most of us won’t be able to understand a word of what is being said, we don’t need to understand. The puppet does all the talking with his movements that are needed to have a thoroughly enjoyable show. Take a few minutes and enjoy. This one is good.

This is a great example of what manipulation can do for an act. When you don’t even have to be able to understand what is being said to be able to enjoy the act.
We can all learn from examples of good showmanship. Thats what makes this such fun. Thanks for sharing Edmundo. Great work. Everybody keep on sending us your pictures and videos.

Until next week,

Steve and JET
