You fill in the blanks….

We are going to do something completely different this week. With the passing of Clinton Detweiler on Tuesday, we want to hear from each of you in the “comments” section of the blog. Most of you have several stories of your personal experiences with Clinton.

Take just a minute and tell all of us about your best memories of the years you knew Clinton and over the next week keep checking this blog and we can all read each others good memories of Clinton and family as a community tribute to a really humble but great man of the art form.

  1. I never met Mr. Detweiler but I did go through the Maher course and when I sent in my reports, I always received very personal comments from him. And I know if I needed help, he would have been there for me! The Vent world has lost a great ally, champion, and friend. There will be a void felt for many years and probably for generations to come. Good bye Sir. You will be missed but never ever forgotten!

  2. What can I say, that hasn’t already been said about Clinton? He was just about the nicest, most generous person I ever met. He was always willing to help with what ever my little problem was. I have been reading his newsletters and blogs for most of my adult life, and he has shared so many good ideas, and knowledge with me, that I could never begin to repay him. I have a beautiful vent figure that he made, that I will treasure,, and think of him every time I use it. Although I hardly knew the man, I will miss him and his wisdom very much, I already have a hard time not visiting his blog each day. He was the best thing that ever happened to the vent community, and he definitely left this world a better place than he found it. God Bless you Clinton, you were the best.

  3. Almost 40 yeas ago I started a 10 week course on Ventriloquism. After passing my course Clinton sent me a chance to take a 30 week course. Being newly married we didn’t have much money but we took the money and with the course came a “free” dummy. Over the years I have been in contact with Clinton for one reason or another. I have bought all my dummies from Clinton. I have read his blog every day since I found it. I will miss the encouragement that I have received by reading his blog and knowing that he always had good advice when I needed it.
