The first “Little Happy Monster” is Here

Back in October of last year we announced on our blog that we were beginning plans for a line of youth puppets. We had made the observation over the years that when young vents are getting started that they quickly lose interest when the only puppet they can work with is just a low end knock off that just does not really feel like a ventriloquist puppet. Or in the alternative, young vents who do manage to get a “real” puppet seem to be overwhelmed by the 36-38″ size of the puppet. It is just too much for them to handle comfortably.

So we had made plans to introduce a line called “Little Happy Monsters” that would have all the quality and finished look of a real vent puppet and the size that is compatible with the younger generation. What they were to lack was the price tag of the larger puppets. We decided that we wanted everything in the “Little Happy Monsters” to have a price tag right around $200.00 plus shipping. We know that most adults can afford an adult model, but the price tag is just too much for the younger folks.

In order to get the price in the range that we wanted it, we had to make some small changes. Where all of our standard puppets are one-of-a-kind, our Little Happy Monsters could not do that. While maintaining the quality, we had to be able to make duplicates of the youth puppets.

Well, we have said all this just to get to this point. We now have the first of the Little Happy Monsters up on the website. We will be making more of an effort to write some form of biography for each of them to help younger vents get their imaginations going and be able to know their character.

Well, the first Little Happy Monster has arrived.

Meet Shoebox.

CIMG6180

Shoebox is a quirky little character with lovable charm and an entertaining personality. He is 26″ tall with back entry. He comes with all the quality of any JET puppet. He has his own life history with him.

If you would like to get one of these characters for your young vent, give us a shout. The first one is ready to go, but the rest will have to go to the production calender.
