Reminder: Policy on Refunds

Every now and then we get to deal with someone who can only be described as the _ _ _ _ _ from (a very warm place).

We truly do want all our customers to be happy and satisfied with their purchase, however from time to time we deal with someone who is apparently not “balanced” in the head. This woman has proceeded to threaten us and we are now getting emails from some of her friends in the “asylum” where they live. At two in the morning I received an email from a long haired freak friend of hers telling me that I “was in trouble” and that we were soon to start getting (implied) many many emails from all of “E.S.’s” close friends.

Without getting more detail descriptive (unless forced to do so), I want to publish our policy on refunds as posted on the website.

Policy on Refunds

Since we do not take orders any longer, all puppets purchased are puppets that you will have had the chance to completely examine from the photographs provided to you. Study each photo carefully. If need be we can take another photo for you at your request.

Once you commit to the purchase of a puppet, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We are not unreasonable however. If you receive the puppet and there is a quality issue on a feature that we missed, we only want to deliver top notch quality. We will determine if the problem is one that can be repaired, or fixed to correct the problem. We promise to be fair but our decision is final. (Emphasis added.)

I hope this will be cleared up and go away, but if not well . . . we have other options, and we will not be threatened or cyber bullied by anyone.

Maybe next week we can get back to the puppet business.

  1. Every business has their share of wackos. It’s all part of dealing with the public, should be expected, and should not be taken to heart.
Besides, you chose a business in which your clients talk to their hands. There’s nothings no normal about that. We’re all nut jobs one way or another.

  2. Jet and Steve, I am very happy with the two puppets I’ve purchased from you. On July 2nd I have my first performance at a venue south of Myrtle Beach, SC, with the puppet “Jack” you just created for me. Also, I’m putting together a script for a concept puppet I’ve never seen before and I believe foam is the way to go. My goal is to have the ideas for it fleshed out by the end of this year as I build the act. Expect a call in early 2018.
