Although we can never get enough pictures back from you good folks, now and then we get some that are a bit unusual. Some for the pictures themselves, and some for the circumstances surrounding the pictures.
A while back we got to be friends with a gentleman named Steven van der Vyver. As we began to get to know him we found out that his idol as a youngster was Percy Sledge (a very famous musician some years ago for you who might be a bit young).
Steven was wanting a puppet that had somewhat the look of Percy Sledge. To make a long story short, we ended up shipping him a puppet we had on “Available Now” named Robert. This involved some minor modifications and a change up to include “Real Teeth”.
Now you would think that with Stevens name that he would be from Holland or the Netherlands which would usually be pretty close to correct. However, Steven has a very interesting job. He works as a consultant for a Dutch firm and is living in the United Arab Emirates. So Robert Percy Sledge was sent to the UAE to live and perform with Steven there.
This week we got some pictures of Steven and Robert in the office complex in the UAE. These were the first photos we have ever gotten back from that particular part of the world. and since Steven was good enough to share with us, we thought that we would share with you as well.
