Something different for this week

This week we found a newsletter from Lee Cornell that we found to be very informative on the subject of finding new voices.

It is featuring a new two hour video done at Vent Haven this July by our good friend Bob Rumba who is a master of voices and teaching new voices to others.

When someone else has some really good stuff, we will use their material to help you in your growth. We have gotten the permission of all parties to re-publish this column, so read and enjoy.

Hello again!

Since I first began the ventriloquism101.com website nearly 20 years ago, there are always common questions people ask all of the time as they are learning how to be a ventriloquist.

One BIG question I hear over and over is “how can I create different voices for my characters?”

I have seen a lot of vents over the years who, unfortunately, have puppet voices that sound almost identical to their own voice.

Until now, I’ve only been able to help people with some basic instruction on doing different voices. I have a lot of them I can do, but I never really figured out a good way teach others.

Well, I recently teamed up with renowned master impressionist, voice over actor and ventriloquist, Bob Rumba, to create the absolute best video ever produced on how to do character voices.

It’s called “Choices of Voices.”

This brand new DVD is nearly 2 full hours of Bob’s workshop I recorded at the Vent Haven ConVENTion last July. Both of his lectures were to standing room only audiences. Some people even stayed to watch both workshops.

He explained his method for creating up to six different voices from one initial voice. Then he borrowed puppets from audience members to help them come up with a new voice for their puppets. It was amazing to see.

You can find out all about Bob, his resume of famous people he has worked with, television shows he has been on, clients he has worked for and this fantastic instructional DVD here:

And for a limited time, you can get an autographed copy.

Let Bob show you how to finally create as many different voices as you want so you can easily work on developing the character of your ventriloquist figures.

Over all of the years I’ve been producing instructional videos to help ventriloquists become better at their art, I think I’m most proud of this DVD.

And there are some really cool bonus features on the DVD as well.

Check it out and get a signed copy while they last.

Keep venting!

Until next time.
