Keeping all your performance options open

We received a note from our good friend Gary Green from Canada this week. Gary sent us a video of himself and his old first generation Indian gentleman (as they are called in Canada). This was a puppet that JET did for Gary several years ago.

Remarkably, the video was not taken in Canada, but rather from a “storytellers” event in Mexico. What makes this so important is that it highlights the things that you as a Ventriloquist can do to get your act “out there”.

As you watch the video, you will see that the puppet plays a very small role in the video taking up only a couple of minutes. However, Gary managed to use the forum of a storytellers event to get the puppet out and be recognized by yet another audience.

For you as a performer, it is noteworthy that you can use other side skills such as story telling to get stage time.

Watch what Gary does and give it serious thought. What can you do with a situation like this? If you can go from Canada to Mexico to this type of event surelyl you can go to a similar event in your own part of the world. There are things like storytelling events popping up all over the US.

Here is the video that Gary sent us. Enjoy it.
