Just a quick note. This time of year it is very hard to list a new puppet every week. This is the time of year that we tend to be loaded with Christmas gifts.
This is just a reminder that we are coming up on the busiest time of the year. The holidays are when everyone is thinking about throwing a party. Everyone wants their party to be better than others in town. They all want to have something that others in town will not have.
Make sure that you don’t miss an opportunity to be that special something for as many parties as you can. For every booking that you get, make sure to use the opportunity for shameless self promotion. Make sure that you have an ample supply of business cards on hand BEFORE the holidays. You cannot afford to run out at this time of the year.
Any company that has more than 25 employees is worth stopping by their office and leaving a couple of cards at the receptionists desk. They will probably have a Christmas Party and you want to be the most aggressive Vent in town. Many folks will only hire someone who has taken the time to come by to talk to them. They won’t just look for you in the phone book.
