This is going to seem different to most of you but it is just another example of the goodness that exists in the Vent Community.
This year at the Vent Haven ConVENTion, there was a young sweet girl who was profoundly taken in by a pink elephant that we had taken to Kentucky. For about 2-1/2 days, every time the dealer rooms were open, this young lady would stand at the tables and play with the pink elephant with a level of affection that we seldom see. She was absolutely taken by the puppet.
On Friday, a very nice lady approached JET and said that she had been watching the young girl for quite a while and could not help but notice how taken she was with the elephant. She explained that she had lost a son about a year ago and was able to ease the loss by helping others. She said that she would like to purchase the elephant and give it to the young girl. When we told the young girl, she broke down and cried then ran to the lady and hugged her neck thanking her profusely for her kindness.
In the process we managed to get a picture of the two of them together with the elephant.
It will be a long time before we manage to forget this event. This is just another aspect of the Vent Community.

I saw this young lady looking at that puppet a lot. Then later saw her with it. I told my wife, “well I guess she decided to buy it.” Hearing this story really warms my heart. I could tell she really wanted that puppet. I love that someone had the ability to gift her the puppet.
