Still Recovering From the Vent Haven ConVENTion

As stated in last week’s blog, this year’s ConVENTion will go down in the history books as the biggest gathering of Ventriloquists to date. To be perfectly honest, we’re still recovering from the ConVENTion.

It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones as well. We received a lot of positive comments about our puppets and we are very thankful to all.

One very noteworthy item that happened was that our good friend Dan Willinger (Ventriloquist Central), along with his partner and Webmaster Steve Hurst (who is also our webmaster) were both honored with the W.S. Berger Distinguished Service Award for outstanding contributions to the art of ventriloquism.

Neither one of them expected it, but both have worked tirelessly over the 5-1/2 years of the existence of Ventriloquist Central to selflessly promote the ConVENTion and all aspects of this art form we call “Ventriloquism”.

You can check out Dan’s comments on the Ventriloquist Central Blog:

Congratulations to both of them on a very well deserved honor.

Like we wrote last week, in the coming weeks, we will go much more in depth on more aspects of the ConVENTion, but for now we are happy to be back at The Dummy Shoppe, re-inspired with lots of new orders and even more new ideas.

That is all for now. Until next week. . .

Steve and JET
