Using Your Puppets Nose to Focus his/her Eyes

We have talked about this topic before and have gotten much good feedback about it, so it is probably a good thing to mention it again from time to time as a reminder.

When you are performing, make sure that your puppets eyes stay focused on someone in the audience while he/she is speaking.

The best way to do this is to watch from your perspective and see where the puppets nose is pointing. If you can follow the puppets nose, that will also be where the puppets eyes are focused.

This is a very easy concept and with just a bit of practice it will be a great help to you.

That’s all or now. We will talk to you again next week.

  1. our website is made for the amusement park/show industry, so we don’t try to sell ourselves to the “audience”…we decided to show ourselves best by the products that we use to put on the show, NOT the man or tech behind the curtain – but the characters that the audience will see, and the top of the line companies that make them. We also include a statement of faith and creed- we want the companies we work for to know exactly where we stand- we will not get into the political discussion on any subject- we’re too busy for that…and if you don’t think we have been busy, take a look at our resume, and not just the shows but all the writing, studio work and prep – when Jet & Steve say this is a business…that’s exactly what they mean
