One thing we notice from time to time is that many Vents don’t pay any attention to their own posture when they are performing.
Do you come out on stage and let your posture slump and make you look too lazy to stand up straight? You don’t have to be so rigid that you look like a statue, but you don’t want to appear to be almost falling down.
You must have some movement in your stance in order to bring life to your character, but when you are relaxed don’t stand there slouching. If you don’t maintain a polite posture, your audience may think that they just paid money to come see someone who does not appear to be very professional.
This is a very simple topic, but it is also very important. Act respectfully of your audience, and they in turn will pay more attention to you.
We will talk soon,
