Something New
We have been wanting to do something for a while. We have watched young Ventriloquists for a while and how they struggle to get started in the Vent world. The thing that makes it the hardest for them is that most of the time, they have very limited budgets for getting puppets to get started with.
Most of the time these younger Vents are forced to settle with puppets that are to say the least, “inferior” and look it.
What we have decided to do is put out a line of fully professional puppets at a very much reduced price. In the past we have attempted to do something like this, and immediately those puppets were snatched up by adults who just wanted to get inexpensive puppets.
There are two things about this new line of puppets that are different. First, we will do duplicates of each of these puppets.
Second, if you are an adult, you can simply assume that your hand is too big for the neck sleeve and the head. These puppets are built for the younger generation of Vents 13 and younger. We will sell them to an adult, but just understand that you must have a small hand.
What will distinguish this line of puppets from others? The catalog number of the puppet will begin with a “K”. There will be a new section in the catalog called “Kids” Unlike other sections that are exclusively for “Animals”, “Boys”, “Girls” etc., the “Kids” section will have all types of puppets to choose from. It might have an Animal. It might have an old lady. You get the point. All of them will be in the lower price range and will be built to fit a smaller hand.
The first of these new puppets is featured this week. It is named “Mini Monkey”. More to follow.
We will talk again next week.

Are these small puppets? I am always on the lookout for a puppet that will fit ina gall sized ziplock bag. I have one that fits this description, an Axtell biord. This puppet has traveled in my backpack on many foreign trips. I want another puppet full bodied cute puppet that meets these requirements.
Hooray for the Dummy Shoppe!!!!! It’s hi time somebody addressed this issue. My dummy and I both tip our hats to you
The kid sized puppets is great news. Last September, I attended Darci Lynne’s grandstand performance at a regional fair in Pennsylvania, there were families in attendance with young children, many were holding puppets. As a mall Santa, I’ve had children ask Santa for a puppet for Christmas. Also in a seasonal summer position, I’ve seen children coming into my work area with cheap kid puppets. So, I’d say that there is a real interest due to children seeing Darci on TV and following following her career. Puppets like Mini Monkey will put youngsters on a level above others while learning to vent and give them a boost in looking serious about their dream to become a vent.
Great work. I meet young people all the time who are interested and I have given my expense puppet as gifts to those really interested, but this is a wonderful alternative. Thanks
