Just a short topic to address this week, but it is an important one to be aware of. In recent weeks, we have run into no less than 6 Vents who when asked for a business card told us they did not have one.
This is a fundamental mistake that you must never make. You can obtain 500 business cards from Vistaprint for $10.00. Most of us will spend more than that ordering a good meal at a restaurant. (Those who are not on a diet – lol).
Your business card is the one identifier that you must be able to provide. It is the thing that will make people remember you long after you are no longer in front of them.
A good number of folks will keep your business card for several years before discarding it and they may contact you for bookings on a couple of occasions during that period.
Yes it is possible that you will give out many cards and get nothing back from them, but at a cost of 1/2 penny each you can well afford to waste a few cards.
All it takes is one card to result in a booking to pay for several thousand cards. Seems like a great investment. If you don’t have a card, today would be a wonderful day to get them ordered.
