{"id":2142,"date":"2015-08-28T04:32:00","date_gmt":"2015-08-28T09:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thedummyshoppe.com\/blog\/?p=677"},"modified":"2020-07-07T12:13:23","modified_gmt":"2020-07-07T17:13:23","slug":"a-medical-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thedummyshoppe.com\/?p=2142","title":{"rendered":"A Medical Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thedummyshoppe.com\/wp_jetpup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/medicaldirectors.jpg\" alt=\"medicalDirectors\" width=\"225\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Just a quick statement this week.\u00a0 As most of you are aware, Steve had a pretty severe heart attack on April 6th this year.<\/p>\n<p>At first we did not have a complete grasp of the full nature of the problem. Over the last 4 months, Steve has been wearing a device known as a &#8220;Life Vest&#8221; This device is designed to constantly monitor the heart and to act as a defibrillator and shock the heart if it stopps beating.<\/p>\n<p>The team of Dr.&#8217;s was closely monitoring the condition of the heart, while using medication to help heal the heart.<\/p>\n<p>The goal was to bring the heart up to a point where the Dr.&#8217;s felt like it was strong enough to be able to handle the surgical implantation of a new style of pacemaker.
