At The Dummy Shoppe, all of our puppets are one of a kind.  When we create a puppet for you, we reserve the right to use photos of your puppet for future presentations to other Vents, but this is only to provide them with ideas and inspiration for their new creations.  Your puppet is safe as far as being duplicated.
 
If someone falls in love with any puppet that they see, our policy is that we will make a "similar", but it will NEVER be more than 90% similar to your puppet.  It may have different hair, eye color, clothing or other things.  You might recognize someone Else's puppet as being a distant cousin of your puppet, but never a duplicate.
 
If there is a duplicate made, it will only be for the owner of record of the first puppet.  From time to time, professional vents will have us make a puppet.  Then when they find that their puppet is a "hit", they will request a nearly exact duplicate of their puppet.  Since we maintain file copies of all patterns for each puppet we make, we can do nearly exact copies in cases like this.  However, if you purchase a JET puppet from someone other than The Dummy Shoppe, before we will make you a nearly exact duplicate we must first contact the owner of record to establish from that person that they have in fact sold you the original.  Then and only then will we make you a duplicate.
(The reasons that a professional might want a duplicate can be understood by merely understanding that anyone who has ever flown, has probably heard of someone who has lost luggage.  -  Duplicates are a good thing for the professional.  Multiples that anyone can buy are not.)
 
If we did not maintain the right to use photo displays of past creations, then you would not be able to view a web site with lots of puppets to see what you might be interested in, however there is a big difference in seeing what we have done in the past, and knowing that your puppet will be only a "similar" or will be completely different.
